Last Sunday 22nd June 2014, the Simply Porsche event was held at the National Motor Museum, taking full advantage of the beautiful weather that we have experienced lately and showing off some of the most iconic Porsches in Beaulieu’s grounds.
This annual event was the second one to be held and over 400 people gathered to admire a wide range of both classic and modern Porsches. If you are a Porsche enthusiast, this would “simply” be your dream event!
The 2014 Simply Porsche event was conducted in association with The Independent Porsche Enthusiasts’ Club. Their members came out in full force and they were also accompanied by members of the Porsche Club GB and the 924 Owners Club.
Amongst some of the exhibitionists were Porsche of Bournemouth who showed off some of their latest Porsche models including the popular new SUV, the Macan.
The South Hants Model Auto Club showed some of their Porsche marque model cars in the Display Marquee and there were a number of trade stands selling their Porsche-related wares.
One of the highlights of the day was for visitors to vote in the People’s Choice Awards for their favourite Porsche. The winner was an original Radium Green 1952 1488 cc Porsche 356 Cabriolet from Jon Devereux from Milford-On-Sea. What a lucky man to have imported and restored such an iconic classic!
After the award ceremony, the most popular vehicles drove in convoy around the parkland grounds – what a finale!
