Lexus add over £3000 worth of equipment to the new Executive Edition IS
The Lexus IS recently had a major overhaul to compete with the likes of the Mercedes C-Class, the BMW 3-Series and the Audi A4.
The low emission Lexus IS offers low taxation benefits and running costs thanks to its efficient hybrid engine and now they have further improved the already impressive IS range.
Lexus IS 300h Executive Edition
The new Executive Edition comes with leather upholstery, Lexus Navigation system, 17-inch alloy wheels, dusk-sensing HID headlights, cruise control, auto-dimming rear view mirror, dual-zone climate control, rain-sensing wipers and all the equipment and styling features you get with the existing Luxury trim.
The new trim offers £3,390 worth of extras and the Executive Edition is available for £29,995 OTR.
Performance and economy figures
The IS 300h Executive Edition benefits from the Lexus Hybrid Drive system and CO2 emissions are a low 103g/km, which is great news for company car drivers; a 20% benefit in kind tax payer will pay £778 per annum if this model is chosen as a company car.
Fuel consumption is also impressive, returning 64.2 miles per gallon.
Performance is not lost in the IS 300h Executive Edition; it has a top speed of 125mph and 0-62mph can be reached in just 8.3 seconds.
Summary
The standard specification of the entry level IS was already excellent and now it has been added to whilst keeping its competitive price. Lexus seem to be ticking all the right boxes.
