Maserati Centenary Celebrations at Silverstone Classic 2014

Maserati will begin their Centenary celebrations on Monday 21st July at the Silverstone Classic 2014.

This classic racing festival will feature Maserati as their official ‘Celebration Marque’, showcasing the largest gathering of Maserati models the UK has ever seen.

Maserati’s classic line-up

Maserati racing legend, Sir Stirling Moss, will lead a parade of over 200 Maserati models from the past and present around the Silverstone circuit on Sunday 27th July.
He will be behind the wheel of the iconic Grand Prix winning 250F and will be joined by Alfieri Maserati, the son of company co-founder Ernesto Maserati.
The line-up of classic Maserati models will range from the Tipo 61 Birdcage to the GranTurismo MC Stradale.

British motorsport’s relationship with Maserati

Luigi Villoresi won the first British Grand Prix hosted by the Northamptonshire circuit in 1948, driving a Maserati. Since then, Maserati have enjoyed a long-established relationship with the home of British motorsport.

The next chapter for Maserati

Regional Manager of Maserati North Europe, Peter Denton, said;
“The UK is a crucially important market for Maserati and the level of support and enthusiasm for the brand here is outstanding. With 2014 being our Centenary and sales up 223 per cent year-on-year it is an exciting time for us.
The Silverstone Classic promises to be a fantastic showcase of Maserati’s glorious racing heritage and the arrival in showrooms of the company’s new Ghibli and Quattroporte Diesel models heralds the beginning of another exciting chapter in the Maserati story.”
