Salon Privé Returns to West London’s Syon Park in 2014

We look at this years’ international luxury motoring event that will be taking place once again this September

Last year’s Salon Privé – which was a record year for the show – saw the debuts of the 2014 BMW X5 M50d, the Clark Abel’s ‘Dakar’ Evoque, the Spyker’s B6 Venator Spyder and the one-off Icona Vulcano.

Also in 2013, Chubb Insurance Concours d’Elégance hosted 101 classic car and motorcycle entrants – a quarter of which were from abroad – that demonstrated the international standing of Salon Privé in world Concours events.

The 2013 ‘Best of Show’ prize was awarded to Sarah Allen from England for her 1959 Ferrari 250 California Spyder LWB.

The success of Salon Privé 2013

Reflecting on the success of last year’s event, Andrew Bagley, Salon Privé managing director, said;

“2013 saw an absolutely outstanding Salon Privé. The event has settled into its early September dateline, with more manufacturers and super car exhibitors than ever joining us.

This combined with the additional offerings of the growing luxury retail village, EFG Private Bank Art and Memorabilia Fair, and our new partnership with the Royal College of Art Vehicle Design Department, put Salon Privé right up there with the leasing automotive events of the world, which is exactly what we set out to achieve eight years ago.”

Audemars Piguet British Super Car Show

Audemars Piguet British Super Car Show was a new attraction at the 2013 Salon Privé, which brought in over 50 new cars from manufacturers all over the world in categories such as The Hyper Car Collection, Prototypes Class and Concepts.

The Pagani Huayra, Vencer Sarthe and Rolls-Royce Wraith were all Super Car prize winners in 2013; all categories and entrants already look stronger this time around.

We can’t wait to see what is in store for us in this year’s Salon Privé but we are sure to see some amazing car debuts and supreme classic cars.
