Record number of D-Types to venture out onto the Goodwood circuit
The 60th anniversary of the Jaguar D-Type will be marked at the sell-out Goodwood Revival later this month.
Celebrations will include the Lavant Cup race – dedicated to the D-Type – as well as a special parade.
Jaguar’s Lightweight E-Type continuation model will also be making its European debut at the event from September 12th-14th, while the new F-Type Project 7 will be displayed in the Revival Earls Court Motor Show.
The Lavant Cup race and D-Type parade
More than 20 examples of the Jaguar D-Type will take part in the first-ever motor race dedicated entirely to the D-Type.
Andy Wallace, Ex-Jaguar Le Mans winner, will be competing in a 1955 ‘long-nose’ D-Type, while other famous faces involved include another ex-Le Mans winner, Derek Bell.
In total over 30 Jaguar D-Types will take place in a parade around the Goodwood circuit – a record number of examples of the classic Jaguar race car in one place.
Jaguar Lightweight E-Type and F-Type Project 7
After its recent unveiling at Pebble Beach, the Lightweight E-Type continuation model will make its highly-anticipated European debut at the Goodwood Revival.
The F-Type Project 7 – which was launched at the Festival of Speed – will be making its return to Goodwood where it will be displayed within the popular Earls Court Motor Show alongside the Jaguar F-Type R Coupe.
Also, another 25 or so Jaguars and Jaguar powered cars will be racing around the Goodwood circuit over the Revival weekend, including C-Types, E-Types plus Mark I and Mark VII saloons.
